Fujifilm Flies Digital Printing Banner

Under its new banner, “The future of digital printing is here,” Fujifilm North America Corporation Graphic Systems Division (Booths 627, 1469) is demonstrating its commitment to take print partners into the next generation of print with its latest innovations, technologies and solutions. Whether an offset printer, digital printer, newspaper printer or a combination, Fujifilm has its print partners covered. Its line -up of CTP solutions, digital inkjet and toner-based print equipment, wide-format flatbed and roll printers, as well as Fujifilm’s extensive wide-format media library, enable customers to diversify their product offerings. Fujifilm is also featuring a variety of workflow and color management software solutions for digital, offset and newspaper printing. It is also exhibiting in the News Print Pavilion (Booth 1469) to showcase its latest products and solutions for the newspaper industry.

“Fujifilm’s message, ‘The future of digital printing is here.’ speaks to the commitment we have to the print industry, which, at GRAPH EXPO, will be demonstrated through the innovative technology that powers everything from the Fujifilm Inkjet Digital J Press 720, to our CTP solutions,” says Sam Ota, division president. “Fujifilm sees this as a time of great potential that printers can take advantage of to reinvent themselves, and we want them to know they don’t have to do it alone.”

The show marks the U.S. launch of the Digital Inkjet J Press 720. Engineered to fuse offset printing quality with digital print’s flexibility, it features paper delivery and exit like that of a traditional offset press and print speeds up to 2,700 26x20" 4-up size sheets per hour or 10,800 8.5x11" pages per hour. Fujifilm Workflow XMF is driving the J Press 720.

Other digital solutions at the Fujifilm booth include the Xerox 700 and the Xerox Color 800/1000, both capable of printing at 2400x2400 dpi. The Xerox 700 prints 70 ppm in color and black-and-white and the Acuity Advance HS UV flatbed printer with roll media option.

Also on display are the ESKO Kongsberg i-cut XL24, which offers knife cutting, creasing and routing on a variety of media types; two roll-fed print solutions, the The Epson Stylus Pro 7900, a 24" roll printer driven by ORIS Color Tuner Pro Web technology and the Mutoh ValueJet 1618 64", an eco-solvent solution, dual-headed, 8-channel printer; and the latest Pantone ink dispensing system with the GFI Innovations’ Mx6 ink dispenser.

Fujifilm is showcasing its expansive line-up of wide format UV and solvent roll media, which provides printers with optimal print quality and color performance while providing durability and ease of use for virtually any application. A variety of media is on display including banner selections, premium papers, adhesive backed vinyl, backlit media, canvas, wall and floor graphic media and perforated window film. All of the media is designed for use on UV and solvent solutions and is the prefect complement to Fujifilm’s printer, ink and color management RIP solutions.

 

CTP solutions

The Javelin 8600N-S thermal CTP device with single cassette autoloader is also on the show floor. The Javelin 8600N-S outputs of up to 22 plates per hour at 2,400 dpi, features a full range of automation options, and supports Fujifilm’s full line of Brillia HD digital plates.

The HD digital plates accommodate long-, medium- and short-run applications and give printers faster makereadies and superior image quality. Fujifilm is showcasing its line-up of LH-PJ and LH-PL no-bake thermal plates; LH-NI3 and LH-PSE baked thermal plates; Ecomaxx-T, Ecomaxx-V and Ecomaxx-VN (newspaper) processless plates; and LP-NV2 and LP-NNV (newspaper) violet plates.
