The show marks the U.S. launch of the Digital Inkjet J Press 720. Engineered to fuse offset printing quality with digital print’s flexibility, it features paper delivery and exit like that of a traditional offset press and print speeds up to 2,700 26x20" 4-up size sheets per hour or 10,800 8.5x11" pages per hour. Fujifilm Workflow XMF is driving the J Press 720.

Other digital solutions at the Fujifilm booth include the Xerox 700 and the Xerox Color 800/1000, both capable of printing at 2400x2400 dpi. The Xerox 700 prints 70 ppm in color and black-and-white and the Acuity Advance HS UV flatbed printer with roll media option.

Also on display are the ESKO Kongsberg i-cut XL24, which offers knife cutting, creasing and routing on a variety of media types; two roll-fed print solutions, the The Epson Stylus Pro 7900, a 24" roll printer driven by ORIS Color Tuner Pro Web technology and the Mutoh ValueJet 1618 64", an eco-solvent solution, dual-headed, 8-channel printer; and the latest Pantone ink dispensing system with the GFI Innovations’ Mx6 ink dispenser.

Software solutions

Fujifilm is demonstrating a series of software solutions, including the 2009 InterTech Technology Award recipient, Fujifilm’s Taskero Universe, ColorPath Verified, and Taksero’s newest module, ColorPath Sync. Taskero Universe ColorPath Verified monitors the performance of all color equipment in the workflow. ColorPath Sync has the ability to optimize color in the G7 process and enables the creation of G7 curves for platemaking and printing to G7 conditions. ColorPath Verified and ColorPath Sync are monitoring and controlling color output live, not only in the in the Fujifilm booth but in other booths throughout the show floor.

Also on display is the ColorGATE PRODUCTIONSERVER6 Software, which is compatible with Fujifilm’s complete portfolio of wide-format printers. With ColorGATE, printers can use one RIP and one color management system across all of the devices in their shop to achieve predictable results and consistent color.

CGS technologies at the booth are ORIS Color Tuner // Web, combining color management, high-speed output and proofing-specific media for inkjet printers; ORIS Press Matcher // Web, allowing different systems to be colormetrically aligned to one standard; and ORIS Ink Saver, which significantly reduces the CMY components for all printed elements and optimizes the black separation while maintaining visual and colorimetric integrity.
