Calling all newspaper printers and publishers! Making its debut at GRAPH EXPO 2010 is a new 8,000 sq. ft. show floor section devoted to the newspaper printing and publishing industry. This pavilion provides newspaper publishers and printers with answers on how to cut costs, boost profits, and make informed buying decisions. Hybrid production, digital presses, offset presses, CtP and plate bending and punching, workflow, UV and heatset technology, postpress and mailroom equipment, and consumables are areas of interest in the pavilion. A News Print Theater is holding on-going daily education for this niche.
On Monday, October 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., a special free presentation entitled “Retooling and Efficiencies in Printing Operations” will be offered. Sponsored by News & Tech and Inland Press Association. The seminar will be moderated by Chuck Moozakis, editor-in-chief of News & Tech. A discussion among guest panelists Sun-Times Media LLC President and COO Rick Surkamer, industry analyst Ken Harding, Chicago Tribune Lean Operations Manager Kate Woolard, and (Toronto) Globe & Mail Project Director Gary Hughes will focus on how newspaper publishers can gain efficiencies to re-invent their operations for the future.
