KBA Users Group Meets in Chicago
The KBA Web Offset Users Group is holding its annual conference in conjunction with GRAPH EXPO 2010. The day-and-a-half KBA Users Group conference, is being held Monday, October 4, and Tuesday, October 5, 2010.
The KBA Web Offset Users Group is holding its annual conference in conjunction with GRAPH EXPO 2010. The day-and-a-half KBA Users Group conference, is being held Monday, October 4, and Tuesday, October 5, 2010. Open to all KBA web press users in North America, the member-run KBA Users Group holds a conference every year to share user updates, operational experiences and information on new technology. More than 30 KBA users are expected to attend.
“Given the importance of GRAPH EXPO to our members, it made sense for us to hold this year’s Users Group meeting during the show,” explains Tom Letto, board member of the KBA Users Group and Production Director at The Courier-Journal in Louisville, KY. “Fellow KBA Users Group board members Gary Hall, Mark Jefferies and our entire leadership team are excited about this opportunity. Particularly with the debut of the News Print pavilion this year, GRAPH EXPO provides an ideal forum for our members to network and share information specific to our press equipment within the context of what’s going on in the industry at large.” The News Print pavilion features equipment, technologies and education of interest to the newspaper printing and publishing industry in one area of the show floor.
At presstime the agenda for Monday, October 4th includes opening commentary by Tom Letto, who is introducing KBA Users Group to GRAPH EXPO, and KBA updates rom Ulrich Wicke, senior VP sales and service, web division. Also scheduled are user discussions with Stephan Prohaska, from KBA service and support.
The group is attending newspaper sessions, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. At 2:30 p.m. the group is boarding a shuttle to visit the Rockford Star, a KBA site, for a two-hour tour and presentation.
On Tuesday, there are half-day sessions.
Established in 2008, the KBA Users Group brings together KBA web press users in North America to share valuable information for the successful operation of their equipment. The member-operated group holds an annual conference to provide user updates, operational experiences, new technology and a forum to meet with KBA representatives.
