Advanced Greig Laminators has added a low-cost economy pressure-sensitive vinyl overlaminate to its Cover-Rite line of finishing materials. Available in a gloss, luster, and a textured matte finish, these films are comprised of a 4 mil vinyl film with 2 mils of pressure-sensitive adhesive and a 58# release liner.

Caldera - Booth #743

Caldera is launching its new product, SnapRIP+, a complete printing solution for digital imaging professionals looking for a productive raster printing solution for their Epson, Canon, and HP printers. It includes Layout with Compose; a feature which lets users layout multiple file elements to create a single project page or JOB. Merge, nest, rotate and combine different file formats, with manual or numeric positioning. It also includes Step & Repeat and Nest-o-Matik features for optimizing media usage.

SnapRIP+ is upgradable to VisualRIP+, with a Postscript/PDF engine for producing posters, advertisements, and POS.

Seiko I Infotech - Booth #843

Seiko I Infotech is introducing the new ColorPainter family of H-Series and V-64s low-solvent wide-format printers.

The ColorPainter H-104s feature eight high-frequency piezo inkjet heads which offer true 720x720-dpi resolution and a print speed of more than 1,075 sqft/hr. It can be configured in two different formats—eight colors with one color per head (CMYK, Lc, Lm, Grey and Light Grey ink colors), or four colors with two colors per head (CMYK).

The ColorPainter V-64s produces true 720 x 720 dpi printing resolution with CMYK and Lc, Lm colors. The newly developed print head, available only on the V-64s, allows the printer to achieve a printing speed of 172 sqft/hr.

The EG-Outdoor EX mild solvent ink set has a very low odor which offers a better working and display environment while providing expanded media versatility, exceptional color, faster dry times, higher glossiness and excellent outdoor light fastness.

The V-64s features Smart Pass Technology which enhances the EG-Outdoor EX ink by eliminating or reducing pass-to-pass banding. A free blower unit comes with the printer. It supports media drying and take-up at maximum productivity.

Foster Keencut - Booth #901

Foster Keencut SteelTrak & V-Groove Cutting Tool cuts even the thickest materials—up to 6 mm Dibond. All four cutting tools are permanently attached to the cutting head. The SteelTrak includes a utility blade for 0.5-inch thick foam centered materials, scoring blade for acrylic, glass scoring wheel, twin wheel cutting head for Sintra Dibond, acrylic, and Alumalite. The V-Groove Cutting Tool attachment lets users create 3D pop ups.

The Foster Keencut Evolution, available in five sizes, is intended to fit any bench while sharing the same 0.008-inch straightness of the Javelin Xtra cutter bar. The integral lift & hold mechanism is operable from either end while ensuring consistent straightness even under flex. The swing-over and under-bench stowaway facility provides maximum working convenience and space efficiency. A built-in textile cutting track and textile cutting attachment are also included.

At SGIA, Avery Dennison is introducing Avery DOL 1370 Luster overlaminate, the newest addition to the ultimate cast product family. DOL 1370 is a 1.3 mil, highly conformable cast overlaminate with luster finish that is UV ink compatible. DOL 1370 provides protection against mechanical damage and UV-light exposure and is ideal for a wide variety of applications including vehicle wraps as well as indoor and outdoor architectural graphics. DOL 1370 is available in 48- and 54-inch by 25 yard rolls; and, 48-, 54-, and 60-inch by 50 yard rolls.

Cutting Specialists - Booth #935

Cutting Specialists provides contract cutting services to manufacturers using a broad variety of sheet and rolled goods. Laser and knife cutting systems are used to convert materials for quantities ranging from prototype and short run jobs to high volume full production. Cutting Specialists can provide custom CNC cutting machines or cutting services that includes CNC Cutting, drilling, punching, knife cutting, and CNC routing. They can also mark (inkjet) part numbers on cut parts. Cutting beds can accommodate materials up 8x30 feet, sheets up to two-inches thick.
