Fisher Textiles has a Green fabric line, Enviro-Tex fabrics, for dye sublimation and UV printing that are eco-friendly and contain recycled materials.
The fabrics are made with recycled yarn, Repreve, which is 3rd party certified and meets FTC guidelines for recycled products. The manufacturing process of the yarn reduces energy consumption while also conserving petroleum resources by offsetting the need to produce virgin polyester. These fabrics are virtually the same product as our regular media only they are made with recycled yarns. Repreve yarn does not affect the longevity or durability of these products. Certification is available on all Enviro-Tex fabrics.

All of Hexis' release liners respect the environment and are in compliance with the following standards:
- EN13430: recycling of materials
- EN13431: recycling for energy
- EN13428: free from toxic substances
- EN13695: free from heavy metals
Hexis has several media products which are environmentally-friendly. PP880WR & PP880WP are 4.7-mil polypropylene films coated with a gray acrylic adhesive, removable (PP880WR) or permanent (PP880WP). They are suitable for solvent and eco-solvent inkjet.
PP060WR & PP060WP are 2.4-mil polypropylene films coated with a gray acrylic adhesive, removable (PP060WR) or permanent (PP060WP) and are suitable for screenprinting.
Hexis' laminate, PG880, is a 1.4mil polyester destined for the protection of prints on the above listed media. The resulting compound applied on glass or sheet metal has an M1F1 (self-extinguishing) fire rating. These compounds are environment friendly because of their low toxicity during degradation (absence of chlorine, of cadmium and other toxic compounds).
Additionally, Hexis' HEX'GEL is a graffiti cleaning agent based on a biodegradable gel, specially engineered for the cleaning of anti-graffiti films such as the AG700 and AG800 anti-graffiti laminates. It should be applied with a cloth and/or a brush.
Hilord Chemical has launched its new Dye Sublimation GEOINKS for the AJ Series 74-inch and 104-inch industrial high-speed inkjet printers. The AJ dye sublimation inks print speeds of up to 968 sqft/hr (104-inch AJ-1000) and 872 sqft/hr (74-inch AJ-740) and capable of printing dye sublimation on transfer paper and directly on to fabrics with the optional Mesh unit for the printer, which makes this system more versatile and faster than printers made only for direct print dye sublimation. The inks have the advantage of printing not cockling the paper and have a large color gamut. Hilord's earth friendly manufacturing, in combination with the quality, speed, and color brilliance that only Hilord can provide, offers economical, productive, ecologically aware, and exceptionally brilliant prints.
Hilord's manufacturing facility is a low waste and low VOC facility. Hilord reclaims used solvents for reuse in ink manufacturing and facility heating. These techniques are used to manufacture GEOINKS for the AJ printers and all other GEOINKS. Converting a solvent printer to Dye Sublimation applications is an environmentally conscious decision to change to a system that allows the use of recyclable and biodegradable materials and does not add PCBs to landfills like traditional PVC printing. Using GEOINKS reduces your total carbon footprint by using environmentally friendly manufacturing.
