"Our most challenging project this year [2010] was wrapping two H1 Hydroplanes for Formula Racing," said Kris Harris, Road Rage Designs. "The boats are huge, and take a roll and a half of film each. To add to the challenge there are no straight lines on the boats making them difficult to wrap."
This was the first time a full wrap was ever done on H1 Hydroplanes in a race series and the Avery vinyl had to hold up to the punishment of water at over 200 mph.
"We're thrilled that we will be working with them again this year and have recently been told we will be wrapping at least give of them this year," said Harris. "They are so happy with working with us that they have been discussing not only having us design and print their hydroplane that is in Dubai, but flying our installation crew to Dubai to install the wrap on their boat that stays there and is not shipped back to the US."
