Another first-time event for GRAPH EXPO: MOGO Media (previously Barrycon Productions and Design Responsibly), the independent organization that delivers best-of-class training events, conferences, and seminars for the global design community, is co-locating its ePublishing Conference with this year’s GRAPH EXPO.

Cited as the world’s only dedicated ePublishing Conference, the event is being held September 13 and 14 and features such topics as eBook and magazine publishing, on-demand print documents, creating interactive documents for Adobe PS or InDesign, creating an ePUB from scratch, and adding animation and video to ePUBs. (Please see the full schedule at right.)

The ePublishing Conference is a two-day, multi-track conference. Attendees can register for a one- or two-day conference pass, which includes complete access to the show floor.

“During the two days,” the Keynote Session description notes, “we’ll be exploring a wide range of technologies that will allow you to effectively leverage your content across varying user experiences, and satisfy a range of consumer needs—from providing on-demand print files rich in layout, to searchable, swipable, video-enabled documents that work across computer screens, phones, and tablets.”

Speakers include well known designers, workflow and Adobe experts, trainers and authors, such as Chris Converse, a Philadelphia designer who designs and maintains the InDesign User Group and Acrobat Users websites for Adobe Systems; Pariah S. Burke, a design and publishing workflow expert; James Fritz, an adjunct faculty at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design and a contributor at indesignsecrets.com; Erica Gamet, an author and InDesign and prepress trainer with over 20 years’ experience; and Brian Wood, an author and Adobe Certified Instructor in Acrobat 9 Pro, Illustrator CS4, Dreamweaver CS4, InDesign CS3, and Photoshop CS3.
