One of the major trends in the printing industry is the move of print service providers into the marketing services arena. In recognition of that trend, GRAPH EXPO 2011 has introduced a dedicated marketing services pavilion tailored exclusively to marketing professionals and marketing service providers. Sponsored by the Chicago chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA), the largest AMA chapter in the U.S., the new Marketing Pavilion will offer a one-stop destination for marketing education, resources, and networking.
The pavilion’s main attractions are the many exhibits showcasing the most innovative marketing and graphic communications tools and technologies upon which today's marketing professionals rely, including: digital marketing, lead generation, social media, mobile services, marketing automation, Internet services, database management, analytics, integrated media services, lead management, email marketing, lists brokers/compilers, creative services, telemarketing, social content generation, online presentations/tools, SEO, and integrated marketing management.
The pavilion also features the Marketers’ Lounge—a learning center that offers a series of educational presentations and workshops on the “how-to’s” of marketing. The Print Council has developed educational offerings for both the experienced marketer and emerging marketing service providers.
Finally, attendees visiting the Marketing Pavilion are invited to take advantage of the Marketers’ Lounge as a meeting place that offers a casual environment in which graphic communications professionals can network, exchange ideas with, and learn from other like-minded professionals.
“Today’s graphic communications professionals are moving away from being exclusively print providers and transitioning into the world of marketing services,” says Ralph Nappi, President of the Graphic Arts Show Co. “Given the expanded focus of these attendees, and to provide offerings for experienced marketers at the show as well, we determined the best way to meet the increasing need for marketing products, information, and knowledge was to provide a concentrated area right on the show floor where the emphasis is on all things marketing.”
“The Chicago AMA is pleased to sponsor the new Marketing Pavilion at GRAPH EXPO,” notes Ann Kostopanagiotou, President Elect, 2011-2012, AMA, Chicago. “From this collaboration, we are providing some best-in-class programming for printers. For our member marketers it is a tremendous shopping experience where they can meet with experts and see and explore the latest innovations in print and print integrated media.”
