The Imaging Network Group held its 20th annual Workshop on Saturday, drawing 75 participants. ING was founded to address the issues, needs, and concerns of the service bureau segment. The workshop offers owners and senior management a dynamic open-format style meeting that promotes constructive exchange of ideas. On the agenda this year were industry developments, strategic planning, and issues affecting members’ business. Participants received immediate feedback from peers regarding critical issues.
Keynote speaker, former Postmaster General Jack Potter, gave his perspective on the economy, his tenure at the USPS, and the future of the Postal Service. Additional speakers included Dr. Joe Webb, one of the graphic arts industry’s best known consultants, forecasters, and commentators; Vince DiCecco of Your Personal Business Trainer, who spoke about strategic sales planning for the new economy; and Noel Ward of Brimstone Hill Associates, who gave an overview of the latest on inkjet technology, equipment, and software.
Attending the event were CEOs and senior level executives from 29 member companies in the transactional and direct mail industry, along with key senior level executives from ING’s vendor partners: Xerox, Océ, Ricoh, Bell+Howell, HP, Pitney Bowes, Solimar, Doculynx, RISO, and GMC Software.
The workshop was capped with ING’s annual partner appreciation dinner at Fulton’s on the River. A welcoming cocktail reception was held Friday night at CHI Bar located in the Chicago Sheraton hotel.
