At GRAPH EXPO 2011, Duplo (Booth 2617) is showcasing its new DBMi Saddle System. Fully automated, the DBMi reliably handles up to 14x24" sheet sizes and can change from CD size to letter, landscape, or 14x12" books with no manual adjustments. The system incorporates the DBM-S Saddle Stitch Bookletmaker with up to six DSC-10/60i Collators that have optional intelligent feeding capabilities for custom feed sequences. Heavy-duty in construction, the DBMi can produce up to 9,000 two-up booklets per hour with an optional two-knife trimmer and gutter cutter. With an intuitive, user-friendly PC controller, fast setup is accomplished for both short-run digital and longer run offset applications. Complementing Duplo’s existing line of quality flat-sheet bookletmakers, the DBMi is ideal for those advancing to saddle-stitch finishing.
Also highlighted is Duplo’s most powerful, all-in-one digital color finisher, the DC-745 Slitter/Cutter/Creaser. Performing up to 10 slits, 25 cuts, and 20 creases in a single pass, this high-production finisher eliminates white borders and toner cracking on digital color documents at up 50 sheets per minute. The DC-745 also features higher feed capacity and a PC Controller for easy job setup as well as new optional scoring, slitting, and perforating modules for increased versatility. Printers can go beyond basic finishing and create a wider range of full-bleed, digitally printed applications in a single pass.
