On Tuesday, the Gravure Association of American honored Thomas Hammond, a member of the Board of Directors of Southern Graphic Systems and Thomas Quinlan, president and CEO of R.R. Donnelley & Sons, at its annual Gravure Person of the Year luncheon. The event was held at the Park Hyatt Chicago.
Since 1990, the GAA has recognized leaders in the gravure industry through its Gravure Person of the Year award, given to outstanding individuals who have contributed to the advancement of gravure in the United States or internationally.
The award luncheon is an opportunity for the gravure industry to publicly honor these individuals and their achievements. Proceeds from this event benefit the Gravure Education Foundation, which looks to promote and support educational development in gravure technology by raising and properly distributing money and resources to deserving educators, institutions and students. The foundation's goal is to motivate and develop individuals with technical proficiency and leadership skills for the print communications industry.
