Konica Minolta Hosts Industry Speaker Series at GRAPH EXPO
Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. is hosting its Industry Speaker Series in Booth 2227. Industry experts will discuss current digital press research, industry trends, as well as sustainable printing practices.
Yesterday Dr. Mark Bohan, Vice President Technology and Research, Printing Industries of America, presented two PIA studies highlighting successful applications of the bizhub PRESS C8000 and bizhub PRESS C70hc. Konica Minolta has donated a bizhub PRESS C8000 color digital press to Printing Industries of America to help support the digital and offset research conducted at the organization’s Center for Technology & Research. Today, Don Hutcheson, President of Hutch Color LLC, will discuss the benefits of becoming a G7 Master Printer. And tomorrow, Tuesday, Don Carli, Director, Institute for Sustainable Communication will share his insights on “Print vs. Digital Media—False, Dilemmas and Forced Choices.”
Visitors to booth 2227 can also get a hands-on look at the bizhub PRESS C8000, the first digital press to receive the IDEAlliance Digital Press Certification. This digital press, an ideal alternative to offset presses, prints up to 4,800 pages per hour. The company will also show the Konica Minolta Color Care Suite, a software application package to define, achieve, and maintain product-specific quality standards for bizhub PRESS production print systems.
Konica Minolta will preview the bizhub PRO C6000L, which delivers 60 ppm for color and black-and-white, a monthly duty cycle of up to 280,000 pages, and 1200 dpi resolution.
