Colorburst Leads the Charge into GREENspace

Colorburst (Booth 3041) founder and chief innovator Larry Spevak is passionate about his company’s focus on environmentally safe printing products. GRAPH EXPO’s GREENspace gave Spevak a chance to showcase the ColorBurst CtP and CleanDot Press Chemistry, which when used together provide a printing system that’s free of regulated toxins and heavy metals.

“No one else can match our eco-friendly alternative,” Spevak said during Colorburst’s press conference Tuesday morning. “The problem has always been eliminating the chemicals without lowering the quality of the dyes. We brought a level of quality to inkjet CtP that no one else can match.”

Spevak said his company with fewer than a dozen employees allowed him the freedom to experiment, something that companies with much more overhead could not accomplish. That freedom helped him and his small band of engineers to develop the toxin free CtP system.

Spevak has most recently teamed up with Epson to provide their Stylus Pro series of printers and Epson UltraChrome ink with the Colorburst green solutions.
