Small Business Saturday
NAPL and its small business advocate NAQP will support the second annual Small Business Saturday on November 26. Small Business Saturday is a national initiative that declares the Saturday between “Black Friday” and “Cyber Monday” as a day to support local businesses. Created in 2010 by founding sponsor American Express, the inaugural Small Business Saturday galvanized support across the country. More than 170 groups have already signed on to support the 2011 program.

Franchises Team up Again
Allegra Network and AlphaGraphics will again team up to host a joint Technology Expo next July 19-20 at the Marriott World Center in Orlando, FL. The 2012 Technology Expo is expected to attract more than 150 exhibitors and more than 600 franchisees from both organizations. Each company will conduct its own annual convention for its franchisees in conjunction with this event.

Océ Future Authors Project
Océ recently completed the annual Océ Future Authors Project. About 40 Palm Beach middle and high school students were scheduled to become published authors, as their book “Blood, Sweat & Words” was unveiled at an official book signing on October 28. The new authors participated in the sixth annual writing workshop, which brings together students, teachers, and well known authors under the sponsorship of Océ. All proceeds benefit the District of Palm Beach Education Foundation and the Océ Future Authors Project.
