Andy Riberdy, president of McCoy Printing
Speed. Quality. Price. In the printing industry, customers have typically been able to pick any two—until now. McCoy Printing now has it all with the Inca Onset S40 from Fujfiilm (Booth 414).
It’s no secret that over the last several years, the printing industry as a whole has been impacted by a decline in demand, more competitive pricing, and shrinking margins. McCoy looked at its equipment and decided that digital inkjet technologies could increase its print quality as well as speed up turnaround times. The Onset S40 enables the company to now offer customers more value and a more competitive price so it can effectively compete for new business. With the Onset S40 McCoy is able to deliver on speed, quality, and price.
McCoy is also realizing increased cost savings and higher efficiencies as compared to traditional offset printing. McCoy’s operations are also now more efficient because the new ColorGATE RIP provides a single production platform and allows one operator the ability to drive all of the equipment in the shop.
Color management was another critical aspect of the selection process for McCoy, an area where Fujifilm’s expertise provided an advantage. Fujifilm’s Print Performance Team worked with McCoy and helped it achieve G7 certification. All print methods—screen, offset and digital inkjet—are now running to G7 standards and producing consistent color across all three print technologies.
McCoy is finding new applications for the S40 every day and the implementation has been a real avenue for growth.
