Creative Labels of Vermont: Embracing Online Marketing to Grow Their Print Business

Creative Labels of Vermont (CLOV) is a family-owned business that has always striven to be a leading edge promotional printing firm. And since 1983, CLOV’s service has delivered results. Thanks to its track record, CLOV was able to generate new business through traditional word-of-mouth marketing. However, when it came to reaching new prospects and customers through its website, the results just weren’t there.

“We knew that we could provide great services to new customers,” said Dwane Wall, President of CLOV. “However, our website made us look outdated, which hurt our chances for gaining new business.”

 

Problem: lack of control

The CLOV staff determined that revamping their website needed to be a high priority, but they faced an obstacle. “We did not have the control we needed to make changes to our website in a timely fashion,” said Wall. “In the past, we had relied heavily on our IT connections to handle that for us. Well, over time, that put us in a bad position. When it comes to online marketing, you have to be able to move fast. Our marketing team needed a way to control the content and design on our website instantly.”

In addition to needing greater access, CLOV also wanted to overhaul the design and layout of its website. Said Wall, “The existing look and feel did not reflect our brand in a positive manner.”

 

Solution: fresh design and CMS

“We recognized that our core competency was in being one of the best label printers out there.
