Expanding Market Opportunities

This year, SGIA is bringing even more markets to the Expo floor to help attendees get the widest range of possibilities and opportunities available today. And attendees are not limited to just one type of educational option. Attendees can take advantage of Expo education by listening to industry experts in scheduled sessions or by attending a free presentation in the Zones on the Expo floor. And because you’ll be surrounded by industry professionals, it will be easy to discuss your newfound knowledge with colleagues and clients—or even your dealer at the blackjack table.

SGIA’s focused educational sessions offer the perfect mix of topics to meet the needs of your business. Customize your education line-up or choose from one of SGIA’s educational tracks tailored for your imaging community.

Whether you need more information about how to take control of your color or hope to achieve PDAA Master Certification, SGIA’s Zones have the free educational programming for you to get the job done.

For the first time at the Expo, SGIA is unveiling the Color Management Zone (Booth 147; a non-sales area of the Expo floor where industry experts will relay tips, techniques, and tricks for managing color).

From the future to the past, attendees must visit the one that started it all: The Digital Apparel Production Zone (Booth 3325). Expo-goers will identify solutions to fit their garment decoration needs, and learn techniques, tricks, and new trends to prevent errors and improve accuracy.

Featuring the industry’s best installers, the Professional Decal Application Alliance (PDAA) Graphics Application Zone (Booth 4325) will present live demonstrations of vinyl installation to a variety of objects and surfaces that go way beyond vehicle wraps.

In the Industrial and Printed Electronics Zone (Booth 3689), attendees will see state-of-the-art processes and a vast array of high-tech products used to produce printed electronics, automotive parts, and more.

Industry experts will be on-hand in the Screen Printed Apparel Training Zone (Booth 3624) , to demonstrate the latest garment special-effect techniques, and to show attendees how to add a little flare.

In the Digital Signage Innovation Zone—a non-sales, education-only area on the show floor—attendees will have the opportunity to hear about digital signage workflow, ask questions about this emerging technology, and discuss how they can position your business to take advantage of the growing opportunities.

New to this Year’s Expo

Previously held in the spring, SGIA’s Printed Electronics and Membrane Switch Symposium will be hosted in conjunction with the 2012 Expo. Participants will have access to more manufacturers and suppliers offering products and services important to their businesses. The educational programming will encompass high-level presentations designed to provide attendees with the latest technology developments in advanced production methods.

Presented by International Business Forum, America, the Profitable Photo Opportunities Conference—an exclusive pre-Expo event—will explore ways photo businesses, print services providers, and specialty graphics providers can create new business opportunities in the professional and consumer photo markets by providing an exchange of views from across the personalized photo product value chain.
