RSA Launches In-Plant User Group and New Software at GRAPH EXPO

In-plant and corporate print center technology provider Rochester Software Associates (RSA), a company that has seen increasing success in recent years of GRAPH EXPO exhibits, is launching two new products this year (Booth 237) and it is using the show to launch its own users group.

The Rochester, N.Y.-based company produces WebCRD, Web-to-print software for in-plants, QDirect Output Manager, and other solutions to help in-plants maximize employee productivity, corporate profitability, and operating efficiency.

For RSA Marketing Director Elisha Kasinskas, this year’s show is an ideal venue for generating more buzz around its products.

“This is our second year in our own booth at the show,” said Kasinskas. “We believe GRAPH EXPO has become more a digital printing show, and as that has happened, there has been a definite uptick in reaching the types of graphic arts professionals we like to connect with at the show.”

Customers will be able to share tips and tricks about using the company’s flagship WebCRD product, as RSA launches its first-ever users group meeting tomorrow, October 8, in Rooms S103a and S102. The meeting, which will have some content streamed online, will focus on new features and plans for WebCRD, as well as explore how different customers use WebCRD to improve their in-plant print workflow.

RSA will also conduct a session during the meeting to highlight tips and tricks for on-plants that want their RSA-driven Web-to-print engines to match their corporate brand look and feel.

At its booth (#237) and in the booths of two of its partners—Xerox (Booth 1200) and Ricoh (Booth 2600)—RSA is also highlighting version 9.2 of WebCRD. The Web-to-print product offers new features to meet in-plant’s specific requirements. One new feature in version 9.2, notes Kasinskas, helps in-plants capture more revenue.

“In-plants are definitely interested in productivity and keeping costs down, but they can also easily lose money on jobs that are primarily black-and-white but include a little color,” said Kasinskas. “The newest version of WebCRD has a feature that allows users to automatically offer correct page pricing for jobs that include both monochrome and color printing.”

Another new product making its debut, QDirect Output Manager, version 4.0, offers a completely new user interface that makes it easier for in-plants to tell where a job is in their plant at any given point of time.
