Andover, MA-based Standard Finishing Systems (Booth 1244) is featuring a full complement of finishing solutions for offset and digital print at GRAPH EXPO. Products making their North American debut include the Standard Horizon HT-1000V Variable Three-knife Trimmer, the Horizon CRF-362 Creaser/Folder, the Hunkeler WI6 Web Inspection System, and the Horizon SmartStacker, a finishing solution for half-sized digital output that operates in-line with the new HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press.
The trimmer, which is slated to be available in the fourth quarter of this year, allows users to do one-to-one variable trimming of different-sized books, in-line with a perfect binder or off-line. The CRF-362’s creaser caters to the unique requirements of digital color output across a wide range of light and heavy weight stocks, coated or uncoated, using a impact scoring feature that eliminates or minimizes cracking.
The new Standard Hunkeler WI6 Web Inspection System is capturing high-resolution images to scan and check for defects. The system can perform a variety of quality checks, including detecting ink spills, jet-outs or print voids, verification of barcodes or postal codes, and image quality inspection. Information from several print lines utilizing the WI6 can be communicated to the printer’s ADF system to monitor production and prevent duplications.
