Agfa Graphics Goes Big at GRAPH EXPO

Agfa Graphics (Booth 627) has introduced a full slate of new products at GRAPH EXPO. The centerpiece of the display is a blues café of which virtually every aspect was printed on equipment being demonstrated in the booth.

One product that offers wide appeal is :Apogee Suite 8.0 which is making its first North American appearance. The upgrade features new tools designed to help offset and digital printers optimize their production process. Perhaps its most impressive innovation is :Apogee StoreFront, a new cloud-based, Web-to-print solution, which allows PSPs to set up online stores for both printed and non-printed products.

Also new in :Apogee Suite 8.0 is :Apogee Impose, which now supports web offset printing. Designed for the specific needs of web printing operations, this rule-based imposition software takes specifications into account, including web folding and finishing requirements to generate the optimal imposition scheme. Designed specifically for newspaper publishers seeking an uncomplicated system to deliver content to smart phones or tablets, :Arkitex Eversify allows publishers to maintain branding while taking advantage of a mobile device’s ability to offer an interactive reader experience. This software helps publishers leverage their readers’ interest in sharing content.

For web offset printers, the newly introduced :Energy Xtra is a positive working, highly durable no-bake plate that offers up to 600,000 impressions without baking, and longer when baked. The highly durable, all-purpose plate features high image quality, efficient processing, and excellent on-press performance.

Also running in Booth 627 is the largest configuration of the :Jeti 3348 UV Jetspeed in its 48 Spectra print head configuration.
