Highlights from the floor

Exhibitors in GREENspace will provide attendees with a variety of products and services to help them to “go green” within their facilities.

Masterpiece Graphix (Booth 860) has been an integral part of the graphic design and print industry. Its Envision Eco-Line offers 27 different eco-friendly, green alternatives to common digital substrates. MGX’s eco-coating is FDA approved and FSC certified. ‘FSC’ stands for Forest Stewardship Council, an organization that works to promote the practice of sustainable forestry worldwide.

Masterpiece Graphix prides itself on having a 100% post consumer waste, bio-degradable, and oxo-degradable digital substrate. In the U.S. 45% of paper is recycled, but the use of recycled paper requires 64% less energy. When paper rots or is composted, it emits methane gas which is 25% more toxic than CO2. With Envision, paper can take less than five years to bio/oxo-degrade, instead of 500 years with a different type of digital substrate.

Mohawk (Booth 663) is North America’s largest privately owned manufacturer of fine papers and envelopes for commercial and digital printing, photo specialties, and high-end direct mail. Its portfolio of recycled papers is certified by Green Seal and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). Mohawk is a fourth-generation, family-owned and operated business based in Cohoes, NY, with global sales and operations located throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.
