Yesterday, HP promoted its press briefing as a “printer-side chat.” The company is showcasing a wide array of innovative digital products at PRINT 13 in Booth 1241 as well as celebrating a milestone anniversary for one of its flagship products.
“Changing commercial printing business conditions are forcing PSPs to take a hard look at their technology, application offerings, and how they create a competitive advantage in the marketplace,” said Stephen Nigro, Senior Vice President, Graphics and Inkjet Solutions Business. “HP’s digital solutions’ portfolio is the future of the printing industry, fueling a transformation from analog to digital while offering PSPs new avenues to enhance profitability.”
PRINT 13 marks the 20th anniversary of HP Indigo’s first press launch. At this milestone, HP is displaying the HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press, the fourth generation of the brand. The latest iteration of the Indigo was awarded a 2013 InterTech Technology Award from Printing Industries of America.
HP is also demonstrating the HP Indigo 7600 and 5600 Digital Presses, including the recently announced enhancement packages, such as the new HP SmartStream Production Pro Print Server with Direct2Finish functionality, HP Indigo Print Care 2.0, UV invisible ink for the HP Indigo 7600, and 600 micron support for the HP Indigo 5600.
At PRINT 13, HP SmartStream Production Center is being used as a central production management solution for showcasing live, end-to-end workflows that utilize the entire HP SmartStream solutions portfolio as well as cloud and in-booth systems from HP SmartStream partners.
The HP booth is a range of labels and packaging applications produced on the HP Indigo WS6600 Digital Press, including in-booth conversion of folding cartons on the Kama DC 58. Additionally, HP Indigo 30000 samples will be available in Booth 1241.
HP introduced a new service offering for HP Inkjet Web Press customers at PRINT 13, which is expected to be available in early 2014. HP Mission Critical Services combine proactive and foundational services tailored for specific business needs. These services are designed to help improve print operations and business productivity.
HP Inkjet Web Press applications will be on display in the HP booth and featured in Café con Case Study in the Printerverse, Booth 5440, on Tuesday from 3:00 – 4:00 pm. During the event, HP will celebrate customers taking advantage of the HP Inkjet Web Press’ versatility, print quality, and economics to thrive in a changing market.
PRINT 13 marks the first U.S. demonstration of the HP Latex 3000 Printer, which allows wide-format printers to shift jobs from traditional solvent and produce new high-value applications. It also marks the global debut of the new HP Designjet Z5400 PostScript ePrinter, the first multi-roll, large-format ePrinter for copy shops.
