Henri Dura is a happy man. Dura is the head of Document Management and Solutions for Neopost, the parent company of GMC Software Technology. Sunday night, he reported on GMC’s progress since its acquisition by Neopost in July 2012. In the first half of the year, while revenues were down slightly for the postal brand, the Customer Communication Management (CCM) division has seen double-digit growth. Not only that, but strong growth is projected to continue through the second half of the year and beyond.
The trend toward decreasing revenues from postal services is affecting the majority of countries worldwide. Neopost has seen minimal losses—less than 1% after making necessary fiduciary adjustments. The company also expects revenues in that area to hold steady.
GMC Software CEO René Mller outlined GMC’s strategy for growing sales by branching into new vertical markets. Insurance and banking are chief among those markets because they are intense consumers of transpromotional marketing, making them natural customers for GMC’s services and products. The company also has a new focus on mobile delivery, which will help its customers—including those in the graphic communications industry—stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in customer requirements.
