INX International Inks Deal with Komori America Corporation

Komori America Corporation (Booth 1251) has signed a national dealer agreement with INX International Ink Company (Booth 217) to market the NW140 UV digital narrow web press, built in collaboration with Spartanics. Effective immediately, Komori will serve as the sole national dealer in the United States.

The national dealer agreement is the natural conclusion of a comprehensive review of the NW 140 by Komori America Corporation, according to Angelo Possemato, National Accounts Director for INX International Ink Company.

“Komori has determined this press not only meets their digital quality requirements, but they are very impressed with its laser printer capability,” he said.

“This decision is an excellent opportunity for all three companies, and we believe Komori’s sales and marketing network capabilities will greatly expand the NW140’s presence in the marketplace.”

Kosh Miyao, President and Chief Operating Officer of Komori America Corporation, added: “As Komori expands its market reach in the digital space, the NW140 is a logical step to meet the needs of both the flexo and commercial markets.”

Manufactured in conjunction with Spartanics, and powered by the JetINX printhead drive and ink recirculation system, the NW140 can produce UV-LED cure single-pass output at up to 80 fpm on label stock. Using the Spartanics X140 laser die-cutting station, it blends printing and conversion to achieve brilliant color. It can also print 140mm wide while providing for easy separation of printed labels.

Following the PRINT 13 show, Komori will install the NW140 press in the demonstration center at its international headquarters, Possemato said. KomoriKare service and training program representatives will receive training on all aspects of the NW140, enabling them to become Approved Service Providers (ASPs).

The NW140 press was designed by INX International’s Huntsville, AL.-based digital division. Since its introduction to the industry, the NW140’s renown has been based on its automated and precise cutting paths and fast job changeovers.

“The high-quality technology in this machine also makes for a huge difference,” said Jim Lambert, INX Vice President and General Manager. “There is no other press that can match what the NW140 can offer.”
