BWE SYSTEC (Booth 3522) has announced new capabilities to its high-performance inserting system, Fusion Cross. After garnering rave reviews at its 2012 launch, the Fusion Cross is leading the way for the Single Machine Type Strategy (STMS) by adding new features that build on the Fusion’s outstanding flexibility and fast format changeovers.
On display is the Fusion Cross solution, processing continuous forms for flats, letters, and stretch formats—all with fully automated changeover. The new heavy duty four-pocket assembly and folding module provide maximum flexibility. Now up to 16 sheets can be folded together (half-fold) with the highest speed and accuracy.
Also included is a turning module that allows seamless processing of portrait or landscape formats for both folded and flats applications. The new integrated turning module turns flats or stretch material 90 degrees in either direction without stopping and without degradation in speed.
“With Fusion Cross, companies can embark on a Single Machine Type Strategy (SMTS) and reap the benefits of lower costs and greater efficiency within their mail production facilities,” says John Lombard, CEO, BWE SYSTEC North America.
