PRINT 13 marks the 20th anniversary of HP (Booth 1241) Indigo’s first press launch at IPEX 93. The HP Indigo portfolio has undergone tremendous evolution in that time, from the Indigo E-Print 1000 to the HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press and from 70 million pages printed in 1994 to 20 billion pages printed in 2012.
“Twenty years ago, HP Indigo disrupted the market with a breakthrough technology and a vision to lead the printing industry into the digital era,” said Alon Bar-Shany, vice president and general manager, HP Indigo Digital Press Division. “At the time, this goal seemed bold and presumptuous. Today, the reality is that as part of HP, Indigo is the fastest growing vendor in the graphics space, enabling thousands of customers in more than 120 countries to drive profitable growth. We are leaders and will continue to drive the industry forward.”
At PRINT 13, HP is demonstrating the fourth generation of HP Indigo digital presses with the HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press in HP booth 1241. The press recently was awarded a 2013 InterTechTM Technology Award from Printing Industries of America and, as of August 2013, had more than 50 installations in more than 20 countries. The HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press is a 29-inch sheet-fed press that prints at speeds of up to 3,450 sheets per hour in full color, and up to 4,600 sheets per hour in Enhanced Productivity Mode. It combines HP Indigo offset-matching print quality with up to seven-color printing and duplex and substrate flexibility.
