With more than 219,000 sqft of Expo floor, the 2013 SGIA Expo will showcase the broadest range of products, supplies, materials, technologies, and applications in the screen printing, digital, graphic, garment, industrial, and installation sectors of the specialty imaging industry. SGIA will open its doors October 23-25, 2013 in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. In addition, this year the Expo will offer even more opportunities to attendees by partnering with the IFAI Specialty Fabrics Expo—featuring new market ideas for digitally and screen-printed industrial fabrics.
Expo attendees look to the association’s annual SGIA Expo and trade show as the primary destination for the latest wide-format imaging innovations and market trends.
2013 Platinum sponsors include: Agfa Graphics, Durst Image Technology, EFI, FUJIFILM North America Corp., Hewlett-Packard, and Seiko Instruments USA Inc.. 2013 Gold level sponsors include: INX International Ink Co., Roland DGA Corporation, and STAHLS.
A large part of the show revolves around its educational opportunities, and this year is no exception. Educational sessions allow attendees to learn from experts in the classic Expo sessions, and the opportunity to try their hand at a new process in the Expo-exclusive Zones on the show floor.
Classic Expo Sessions
SGIA’s educational sessions offer a mix of topics to meet the needs of your business. Attendees can customize their education lineup or choose from one of SGIA’s educational tracks.
Whether attendees are looking for more info about the latest digital technologies for garment decorating, color management, or installation, or trying to discover how to become profitable through sustainability or digital signage, SGIA’s Zones have the free educational programming for you to get the job done —right on the show floor.
Color Management and Workflow Solutions Zone (Booth 440): In the free sessions here, learn about color management tools and techniques, as well as RIP technologies, quality assurance, color certification, and more. Attendees can even “Ask the Color Expert” if they’re looking for insight on a project.
Digital Textile Printing Zone (Booth 2080): Check out technical and design requirements, recommended workflows, color management tips, finishing techniques, and recommended best practices for a variety of ink and fabric combinations. Attendees can also see digital printing technologies in action and meet students and faculty members from the Textile Design Program at Philadelphia University’s School of Design and Engineering.
Digital Signage Innovation Zone (Booth 658): Here, attendees can learn about what goes on behind the screen to gain knowledge of the technologies and tools used in this segment. Attendees can learn more about how to add digital signage options to their businesses.
Printed Electronics & Membrane Switch Symposium (October 22–23)
After last year’s success, this technical event is coming back to the SGIA Expo, and opening one day earlier. Here, attendees will find the most comprehensive educational program for this growing segment of specialty imaging, focused on: good manufacturing processes, through-hole printing, capacitive touch keypads, and more.
The show floor will be chockfull of the latest products in the sign and graphics market. Be sure to check out these “show stopping” products.
HP (Booth 1628) will showcase the new HP Scitex FB10000 Industrial Press for the first time in the US at SGIA. Powered by six-color HP Scitex High Dynamic Range Printing Technology, the HP Scitex FB10000 Industrial Press combines 16-gray-level printing with the ability to produce 1,000 B1 sheets in less than two hours.
The HP booth will also feature the recently announced HP Designjet Z5400 PostScript ePrinter and HP Latex 3000 Printer. It is the first multi-roll, large-format ePrinter for copy shops, providing easy media switching and reduced downtime. Creating a competitive advantage for high-volume PSPs, the HP Latex 3000 Printer offers broader media versatility, including heat-sensitive substrates.
