Association Insights: Advice on Safety, Labor Issues Now Just a Phone Call Away

The recent consolidation of the Association of Marketing Service Providers (AMSP), the National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL), and the National Association of Quick Printers (NAQP) created a number of new educational and networking opportunities for small business owners in the graphic communications industry.

Beginning this spring, for example, in addition to the quarterly NAQP News newsletter, NAQP members will receive the newly launched Bottom Line magazine, a monthly publication bringing together insights of printing, mailing, fulfillment, and marketing services experts from all three components of the new association, as well as front line, experience-based articles from members in these industry disciplines.

In addition, owners and managers of small printing companies can now network not only with their counterparts operating larger printing operations, but also those with long experience in mailing and fulfillment, offering them a wealth of information on helping their customers mail in the most cost-effective ways and deal with Postal Service regulations. The association’s Connect community ( offers a wide-ranging forum for real-time discussions on industry management topics and access to a wealth of new resources.

Safety, Legal Assistance

The new association also provides quick and small printing companies with new money-saving opportunities through an expanded Member Advantage Discount Program. Among the new discounts now available are environmental, safety, and legal services from two highly respected companies: Compliance Management International (CMI) and the Jackson Lewis law firm.

Earlier this year, the association announced the expansion of its My Mail Connection online industry directory, which gives buyers a free, one-stop resource for finding print, mailing, and marketing services providers from around the country and offers service providers an affordable way to find customers when they are ready to buy.

 “Customers don’t have to spend hours on an Internet search, going from website to website to find a printer, mailer, and/or marketing service provider?in fact, they don’t even have to scan a list of service providers,” says John Foley, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of interlinkONE, which developed the service for AMSP in 2013.
