Harlequin RIP Version 9.0

A major new version of the Harlequin RIP has been released by Global Graphics Software, with even faster performance than its predecessors and a new range of productivity features for print shops. Version 9.0 of the Harlequin Server RIP introduces FOGRA certification (FograCert CPS), full support for the new PANTONE Plus library, accelerated live transparency processing and PDF/VT support. Platform support is updated to include Windows server 2008 R2. In addition, print shops can try the new version before they buy.

Jaws PDF Editor v3.0

Jaws PDF Editor 3.0 lets users view, search, manipulate, merge, mark-up, and print PDF documents. New features include PDF forms-fill capabilities that fill, edit, save, and print data in form fields within PDF files. The import and export of FDF-based (Forms Data Format) forms data, allows processing of field data without having to send the original PDF form. Security features allow users to restrict document features such as print, annotating, editing, and copying text. Access can also be limited or restricted by assigning "document" and "file open" passwords.

JAWS PDF EDITOR 3.0

Global Graphics has unveiled Jaws PDF Editor 3.0, which provides the ability to view, search, manipulate, merge, mark-up, and print PDF documents. New features include PDF forms-fill capability, import and export of FDF-based (Forms Data Format) forms data, in-field form calculations, and support for opening and displaying PDF 1.5 files. PDF pages can be inserted, extracted, deleted, rotated, and re-ordered using Jaws PDF Editor. Bookmarks can be created or edited for page navigation and a Finish Document Wizard gives users a step-by-step guide to producing a final PDF file.

HARLEQUIN RIP 7.1

Global Graphics has released Version 7.1 of Harlequin RIP Genesis. Version 7.1 introduces native compatibility with PDF 1.6; in-RIP imposition for four-up as well as two-up conventional printing and digital printing; and increased platform support up to Mac OS X (10.4). This brings increased efficiency and productivity to Harlequin RIP-based solutions used in a variety of prepress, printing, and workflow applications. It builds on the features previously available with the Genesis Release including: an advanced in-RIP font emulation capability for time critical applications such as print-on-demand; support for PDF/X-1a:2003 and PDF/X-3:2003 and the JDF 1.2 specification; and improved color management, including support for Version 4.0 of the ICC profiles.
