Glunz & Jensen PlateWriter 3000

Product From Glunz & Jensen Inc.

Glunz & Jensen, Inc. (Booth 427) is launching the PlateWriter 3000, the third generation of its inkjet based CTP solutions. The PlateWriter 3000 uses Epson’s latest high density print heads featuring virtual macro-piezo technology, effectively doubling the number of imaging elements on the CTP imaging array. Also, rewritten firmware developed by Epson for the PlateWriter doubles the number of imaging channels. The result is a PlateWriter that is three to four times faster than previous models. PlateWriter 3000 incorporates an upgraded plate alignment system for improved registration. The system uses registration pins that rise automatically when a plate is loaded; an audible tone is then generated as the plate achieves register, and the pins automatically withdraw as the plate is “set” for imaging.
