Prinect Color Toolbox

Product From Heidelberg USA

Early on, printers strove to make their offset presses print the same. Later, they labored to make early inkjet proofs look like the press sheet. More recently, their goal was to make digital press output look like offset printing. Now, the color of the logo on a 24-foot banner must look the same as the corporate logo color on all the other printed material produced for a specified campaign. But because color variance is unavoidable in campaigns printed on multiple devices, the beating heart of hybrid workflows—and the source of considerable added value—is the degree of color management expertise a printer can demonstrate in ensuring that color is consistent from device to device.

Speedmaster SM 52 with Anicolor Inking Unit

Product From Heidelberg USA

The Anicolor inking unit of the Speedmaster SM 52 from Heidelberg (Booth 1241) is the answer to shrinking print runs. Your press begins to pay for itself from the first job. Dramatically short makeready times means you can print more jobs each day at significantly lower cost. Anicolor is a short inking unit that adjusts ink volume zonelessly across the entire sheet for 100 percent offset quality. The Anicolor inking unit cuts your makeready times because you no longer need to set ink zones. It allows you to use conventional printing plates. You achieve time savings of up to 40 percent compared with conventional inking units, and produce up to 90 percent less waste at much lower cost. This delivers a 25 percent increase in press capacity for more jobs. You earn significantly higher margins. Let us show you how it works! Heidelberg’s Anicolor Three-Minute Makeready Challenge is being presented twice daily in the booth during GRAPH EXPO 2012.
