We love print. The smell of the press room, the rhythmic sound of sheets coming out of the feeder, and the warm feeling when that tough solid finally gets consistent. We love to watch that poster magically appear line by line. We love to mail merge and to cut, score, fold, and to saddle stitch.
We love software. To draw up wireframes, to configure databases, and that moment when the first piece of code runs. We love to design for different browsers and to mark bugs “closed”. We love to hear the users tell us how much time we’ve saved them.
We know how a shop actually works because we’ve ran them for years - small and large. We know the challenges that printers face every day and how time-consuming nuances can just eat up the day. We designed Keen to solve these problems and help print stay relevant in the new marketing mix.
We believe print will have a valuable place in the marketing world for a long time to come. We also know that the industry has to catch up to how products and services are bought today and will be tomorrow. Creating efficiencies and removing complexity in the print ordering and production processes will help print not only stay relevant, but to thrive in the digital age.
Keen was founded by a team with considerable hands-on print industry experience and many successes in the ecommerce and the online world at-large. Keen was designed from the ground up for the way print shops actually work. The system is the first Software-as-a-Service ecommerce and print shop management tool - and it is laced with patent-pending innovation.
Keen is a scrappy startup based in San Francisco that is bringing the latest and greatest in web technologies to the industry we love, print.
