NELA Brüder Neumeister GmbH (Booth 1461) is introducing a register control system, OPRC, for the newspaper industry. OPRC can control the lateral and circumferential register by analyzing a micro CMYK mark printed on the web. The mark registers to black for both quality and cut-off registers. Using the industry standard Prime Network communications protocol, OPRC can easily interface with most major press control system suppliers, such as ABB, EAE, and Harland Simon. Alternatively, OPRC can use PLCs to control register motors directly.

Poly Bender
