Adphos North America (Booth 2518) is highlighting the newest Graphic Systems Services/Adphos TDC (Tower, Dryer, Carriage) digital press allowing the printing of 100% variable process color inkjet images at 2,000 feet per minute using Kodak Prosper S20 printheads. GSS/Adphos systems are a family of high performance, cost effective solutions that enable the integration of digital monochrome, spot or process color inkjet printing with traditional web offset presses and finishing lines. TDC systems can also be used in offline applications as ultra high speed standalone laser printing replacement systems. They are available in portable, simplex and duplex configurations. Imaging heads and related components from several suppliers can be incorporated and integrated into a GSS/Adphos system. With a TDC system, it is possible to start with a basic simplex monochrome system, and later upgrade to accommodate multiple “swaths” of duplex process color inkjet printing. All upgrades can be performed with minimal downtime at the customer’s facility.
