BÖWE SYSTEC is a leading global provider of solutions for modern print and mailroom centers – more commonly referred to as mailrooms.

Founded in Augsburg, Germany, at the start of the 1950s, the company has its roots in the manufacture of cutting machines for continuous documents. High-performance inserting systems, special systems for dispatching sensitive documents such as insurance policies and plastic cards, and special software concepts were subsequently added as the company grew to become a global supplier of comprehensive mailroom solutions.

BÖWE SYSTEC GmbH and its international subsidiaries are part of the Possehl Group, which generates annual sales of around €1.7 billion with a workforce of over 7,500. The sole shareholder of L. Possehl & Co. mbH is the charitable Possehl Foundation in the Hanseatic City of Lübeck.
