Laminated documents stagnated while digital synthetics grew 50% per year during the great recession. The rapid transition of applications from traditional lamination to digital synthetics is being driven by economics and productivity—but what are the ‘right apps’, the limitations, the benefits and the risks? What do digital synthetics mean to printers, their markets, their revenues, and their profitability? From NASA to the grocery store aisle and every print application in between, “Elimination of Lamination” will reveal the key issues of color laser technology with the latest array of synthetic products, and the growing trend of “durable documents from the output tray.”
You Will Learn:

- The economics, pros and cons of synthetics for print applications
- The durability, suitability and limitations of digital synthetics
