Description:

The digital color press, toner or inkjet, or the new nano-ink, have already replaced offset and even flexo volumes in some markets. Now that the smoke clears from the Drupa event and its many new product introductions, there are 20 sheetfed and 15 roll-fed digital presses for production of everything from books to collateral to direct mail. There are also specialty printers for labels and printers that even go beyond paper substrates. This session will categorize, compare, and contrast the present products.

You Will Learn:

  • The evolution of the digital printer
  • Digital printer characteristics
  • Features and functions
  • Digital vs. analog; digital and analog
  • Hybrid approaches
  • Digital directions: the future of the reproduction device

Who Should Attend:
Top and Middle Management at commercial or in-plant printing services. Anyone who owns a reproduction device of any kind.
