Avanti Computer Systems Limited, a leading provider of Print MIS and Web-to-Print solutions, announced first quarter revenues up 23 percent over the previous year. In part, Avanti's success is due to its ability to offer unique technology that extends beyond the basics.
Avanti realized a remarkable quarter with the addition of Strategic Content Imaging, RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology), The Bank of Canada, Lak Advertising, Runbeck, Print Facility, Lithexcel, Plastic Printers, Capital Printing and Forms and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, amongst other leading US and Canadian printers.
"Customers are now looking to the future and are eager to make changes that will have long-term organizational impact on productivity and customer satisfaction," says Patrick Bolan, CEO of Avanti. "We are seeing a shift in the way that printers look at MIS technology; in the past the focus was on basic MIS functionality (i.e. estimating, job costing etc.), now the focus is on tools that help automate the sales team, integrate multiple Web-to-Print systems and help printers get closer to achieving zero-touch workflows through Digital Print Automation."
A few customers who have embraced the shift in technology and gone beyond the basics say:
…"Avanti resolved our immediate bottleneck challenges, (we used to spend three to four days on job ticketing, we now only spend one hour on ticketing) this enabled me to grow the business by pursuing other clients who I was hesitant to call on before," says Joe Farage, president of Buffalo Printing.
"With Avanti, jobs that were taking days to get to production now only take hours. Data entry errors are significantly reduced and customer satisfaction improves," says John Meyer, director of In-Plant Operations at RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) in Rochester, New York.
Avanti is continuing to invest in product development and is planning to launch Version 14 of its Print MIS software later this year. Customers will be getting an early look at Version 14 at the 2011 Avanti User Group Conference to be held in Washington, DC in May, where product enhancements and new technology developments will be on display.
