Allegra Network Honors Two New England Directors
Regional operations directors for Allegra Network receive award for fourth consecutive year
For the fourth consecutive year, Allegra Network New England Regional Operations Directors Karl Morningstar and John Kuerten received the Gold Operational Excellence Award at the Network’s annual kick-off meeting, held in January at the company’s headquarters in Plymouth, Mich.
The Gold Operational Excellence Award recognizes leadership in operational excellence and profitability throughout the Network. It is awarded annually by Allegra Network to the regional operations director(s) presiding over the region with the lowest combined cost of goods and wages.
Morningstar and Kuerten’s New England region is one of eight geographical regions that are supported by Allegra Network regional operations directors. The directors act as business consultants to help make franchises more successful and profitable.
“John and Karl have both been in the business for a long time,” said Vice President of Field Operation Dirk Nelson, “and they bring a wealth of knowledge to our franchise system. They know from experience how to build and maintain a profitable business.”
Morningstar and Kuerten have both been working with Allegra Network franchise members for more than two decades. Morningstar has been with the company since 1989. He is responsible for the development of Allegra Network franchise members in New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire.
Kuerten joined the company in 1985 and served as a regional operations manager in Ohio for eight years before taking his role as regional operations director in the New England region.
“Over the last few years, despite a downturned economy, our focus on the bottom line has yielded success in the area of profitability,” said Morningstar. “We are honored to be receiving this award. It’s a testament to the many advantages of being part of a strong franchise system where support is readily available.”
“Karl and I both enjoy being able to provide support to our members in the areas where they need it most,” said Kuerten. “In 2011, we plan to stay focused on profitability, but also branch out to support the diversification of our franchise members’ services to include an array of professional marketing services.”
“John and Karl continually look for new methods to improve upon the already outstanding operational standards they’ve established in the New England region,” said Nelson. “They are both extremely devoted to developing and implementing strategies that strengthen the profitability of their franchise members’ businesses.”
