A glittering haul for Emirates Printing Press (EPP) at the Grand Hyatt Dubai: The printing company from the United Arab Emirates comes away with the prestigious Elephant Trophy at the Sappi International Printers of the Year Awards.
The Sappi International Printers Awards are considered the Oscars of the printing industry and are contested by over 6,000 entries from around the world. EPP claimed the highest award, the Elephant Trophy, in global recognition of its printing excellence in the Web printed Magazines category. EPP qualified for this award by winning gold at the 2010 Sappi European Printers of the Year Awards. EPP relies on three ROTOMAN presses from manroland for magazine printing. Two of the printing systems, the four-color configurations, are arranged in parallel and can produce separately, or work together to print products with up to 32 pages in one folder. Mohamed Al Shirawi, CEO at EPP commented, "It is a great honor to be ranked the world's best among the top printing companies around the world. You can’t be the best without putting in your best effort and that is something that EPP has consistently managed."
