Cathy Cullinane of Wright Printing Company/Folder Express was awarded “Customer Service Representative of the Year” by the trade association Printing Industries of the Midlands (PIM). She received this honor at a luncheon featuring Michael Keene, National Chairman of the Printing Industries of America, Tuesday, February 22.
Wright Printing is a commercial print company founded in Omaha in 1927 with over 120 employees. Cathy has been in customer service at WPC for 13 years and is a leader in the company’s national division that specializes in presentation folders, Folder Express.
Folder Express is a trade manufacturer and the fastest producer of presentation folders in the industry, therefore it is not surprising to hear Cathy say she is “never bored,” and is proud to have been a part of the many changes over the years, including introducing the standard one-day production time on the most popular folder styles and the evolution to on-line quoting and ordering of the standard 9x12, two pocket folder.
“Cathy has a remarkable knowledge of printing and finishing processes,” Doug Boysen, WPC president said. “She is willing to teach and support anyone on the team and is always helpful to the customer.”
Cathy readily admits that as a child her mother called her “Chatty Cathy,” but her friendly, talkative, nature is only one attribute to her talents in the role of CSR.
She received this recognition through a nomination and referral process, including rave reviews from her customers. “Cathy, in my opinion, has set a bar for customer service that most people would need a step stool and a 10 foot pole just to touch.” “She portrays what it takes to help and maintain customers in a very professional manner.” And “She has all of the qualities you'd look for in a customer services representative: She is punctual, organized, efficient, and cooperative. She does it all with good cheer and patience,” are some of the comments shared by customers in the referral process.
PIM is a printing trade association comprised of approximately 125 companies in the region. The president of PIM, Dick Clark, presented the award with approximately 65 local members in attendance, including Cathy’s son Shawn Cullinane and daughter-in-law Jamie Cullinane who also work at Folder Express.
