The John Roberts Company Begins Implementation of Prism WIN MIS and QTMS Automated Shop Floor and WIP Tracking

Continued investment in technology and their people has been at the root of The John Roberts Company for over 60 years. After an extensive search for an MIS system that provides operational and manufacturing efficiencies and improved customer communication, The John Roberts Company has begun the implementation of the full suite of Prism WIN management information system (MIS) including QTMS for automated shop floor data capture and automated tracking of work in progress (WIP). John Roberts has enjoyed positive growth and is preparing to compliment and extend the value they add to their customers with a highly efficient and fully integrated solution including estimating, job tracking, scheduling, order management and WIP tracking.

"Everything we do, we do for our customers," Michael Keene, president and CEO of John Roberts stated. "Our partnership with Prism allows us to be even more proactive with our customers by raising our service levels to new heights while at the same time streamlining our entire workflow and reducing the cycle time and complexity of our administrative and business processes. The integration from sales to the front office and continuing into the plant is seamless and will provide us with huge efficiencies and powerful management information," Keene continued.

John Roberts will be using all modules of Prism WIN to proactively control the information necessary to manage all aspects of the business. WIN dashboards will be used to provide exception reporting; freeing up time and increasing customer response times.

"The extended control over production counts and, most importantly, real-time, bar coded WIP tracking will help us continue to improve upon our cost and delivery," stated Justin Sanders, director of management information systems at The John Roberts Company. "By providing our employees with enhanced pro-active customer job and delivery expectations I can give them the tools they need to do the absolute best things for our customers."

"John Roberts is a nationally respected commercial printer, direct mail, packaging and fulfillment enterprise on the cutting edge of cross-media integration with print, and we are very pleased to have been selected to be their MIS partner," said Filip Buyse, president and CEO of Prism. "In addition to our fully integrated and configurable system, they recognized the experience and knowledge our implementation team will provide to them."

The implementation has already begun and is on a fast track to be complete within the coming months.
