CannedWater4Kids founder and CEO, Greg Stromberg, of INX International Ink Co. is asking for the industry's help to aid children who were affected by the devastating earthquake that struck northeast Japan on March 11.
"We have arranged for the transportation to ship a truckload of 52,800 12-ounce cans of water to Second Harvest of Japan. The water is being designated for children in homeless shelters and orphanages," said Stromberg, who serves as INX Director of Sales, National Accounts – Metal Deco.
"The overseas freight cost was donated by UPS through Aidmatrix.org, but we need to cover the costs of filling the 2,200 cases of 24-packs of water. This is very similar to the efforts we were involved in after the earthquake in Haiti a year ago. The printing industry has proven to be generous in the past and I'm asking for their support again."
CannedWater4Kids is a North American based 501c3 non-profit initiative to generate awareness and fund projects to purify water for children in developing nations. Proceeds from US sales are used to support numerous efforts to provide access to clean water for children throughout the world; 95 cents of each dollar donated goes to fund projects.
