The acquisition of the Pitman Company by Agfa Graphics, announced just nine months ago, is already providing increased opportunity and enhanced value to the graphic communications industry.
The two companies, which have been strategic partners for over 50 years, continue to integrate their product lines and service offerings, delivering complete solutions that enable businesses to produce more powerful messages and be more profitable and grow.
"Working with world-class manufacturers, Agfa Graphics and Pitman provide innovative technology and integrated service excellence through an unrivaled distribution network that will help our customers distinguish themselves from competitors," said Peter Wilkens, president, Agfa Graphics, North America.
"Not only do we offer the broadest portfolio of products, we have the subject area experts that partner with businesses to help them select the right products and processes. We help our customers provide faster and efficient delivery of goods and services so they can maximize their business potential. Together, Agfa and Pitman is the strongest powerhouse in the US graphic arts industry."
Through the Pitman acquisition, Agfa expanded and diversified its presence into far larger addressable markets. It expanded capabilities in industrial print, strengthened its distribution power and entered the packaging and pressroom markets with a comprehensive product portfolio that includes a wide range of world class manufacturers.
Agfa also created a unique opportunity to grow its industrial inkjet business by adding complementary product lines such as inks, substrates and finishing products. Sign Expo attendees can learn more about the company and its products and services, many of which will be on display at Agfa's booth (#4153) during ISA 2011 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, April 28-30.
