DocuSource of NC (www.docusourceofnc.com), a Triangle-based integrated marketing solutions provider, is serving as a sponsor of the 2011 Band Together NC charity concert. The nonprofit organization uses music to raise funds and awareness for local charities. DocuSource is providing a $5,000 in-kind donation of promotional and collateral materials in support of the event.
“Music is a universal medium that brings people together in celebration,” says Kathy Murchison, DocuSource president and CEO. “We are proud to stand beside Band Together as it supports local charities and showcases musical talent.”
Started in 2001, Band Together has raised more than $1 million to address the needs of area residents. This year’s fundraising concert will feature Third Eye Blind as its headlining act, as well as regional bands Dillon Fence, U.S. Royalty, Lonnie Walker and I Was Totally Destroying It. Proceeds benefit Alliance Medical Ministry, a faith-led nonprofit organization dedicated to providing affordable healthcare to the working uninsured in Wake County.
DocuSource consistently donates its time, services and funds to help improve the quality of life for Triangle residents. In addition to its support of Band Together, the company has supported more than 20 organizations, including Girls on the Run, Be Active North Carolina, Boys and Girls Club of Wake County, Meals on Wheels, SPCA, Summit House, Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation, the Women’s Center of Wake County and the Raleigh and Durham Rescue Missions.
