FASTSIGNS has signed a franchise agreement in Saudi Arabia. With the first location expected to open in Jeddah in early 2012, FASTSIGNS plans to develop three centers initially with a minimum of 10 centers expected to open over the next 10 years across Saudi Arabia.
"It's an exciting time for us as we break into an untapped international market and continue to grow our presence around the world," said Mark Jameson, Senior Vice President of Franchise Development for FASTSIGNS, noting that while FASTSIGNS is actively pursuing additional international deals, the company's international network of centers already includes locations in Canada, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Mexico, Australia and the Caribbean. "We expect our success in Saudi Arabia to act as a catalyst for further expansion across the Middle East."
As a worldwide franchisor, FASTSIGNS currently has more than 530 FASTSIGNS sign and graphic centers that leverage sign and marketing knowledge, state-of-the-art technology and innovative thinking to solve customers' marketing and communications challenges. Additionally, the company offers the dominant brand name in the visual communication industry, sophisticated e-commerce capabilities and the latest technology, along with access to endless marketing resources and benefits.
FASTSIGNS' expansion into Saudi Arabia will be led by Malik Abdul, a current vendor for Microsoft, and business partner Abdullah Al-Subiany, owner of several Saudi Arabian-based companies specializing in transportation, advertising and real estate. Abdul and Al-Subiany will own and operate all centers developed within the franchise agreement.
"This agreement presents us with a tremendous opportunity to get involved with an established industry leader that has a proven track record for success," said Abdul. "We are very excited to embark on this business venture and begin developing the FASTSIGNS name across Saudi Arabia."
