Consolidated Graphics Has Most G7 Master Printer Companies in the World

Consolidated Graphics, Inc. (NYSE: CGX), a leading general commercial printing company, announced today that it currently has the most G7 Master Printer qualified companies in the world through IDEAlliance, the non-profit industry organization that develops, educates, and validates best practices in publishing and information technology. Consolidated Graphics currently has 46 companies that hold this distinction, with additional companies in the process of reaching G7 Master Printer status.

"Our commitment to the G7 method is just one example of how we're maximizing the performance of our manufacturing processes for the benefit of our customers," said Ric Davis, executive vice president, Purchasing and Operations for Consolidated Graphics. "This achievement means our customers can depend on us to deliver a consistent, high-quality visual appearance in the same products produced across varying press equipment and substrates at varying locations -- more so than any other commercial printer, anywhere in the world."

G7 is IDEAlliance's industry-leading set of best practices for achieving gray balance and is the driving force for achieving visual similarity across all print processes. The Print Properties and Colorimetrics Council of IDEAlliance define the G7 method. The application of this method enables printers to reproduce a similar visual appearance across printing types and substrates.

"Consolidated Graphics has embraced the G7 method, committing to learning best practices for both sheetfed and digital printing. They made the investment in training to become leaders in this area," comments Joe Fazzi, VP Media Production Technologies for IDEAlliance. "To have 46 companies with G7 status and more to come is a phenomenal achievement. They've made note of the importance to have the highest quality products in the marketplace and for their clients, and G7 helps them achieve that."
