Prestone Printing has expanded its digital large format capabilities through the acquisition of new equipment. Prestone has purchased two HP 5500 large format inkjet printers, a Roland Solvent Jet, a large-format laminator, an AGFA :Anapurna M2050, and a Kongsberg i-XL-24 ICut.
The new equipment enables Prestone to print directly on rigid substrates such as foam core, gator board and styrene; as well as paper, vinyl and canvas. Additionally, Prestone will have the capability to fulfill requests for banners, vehicle and building wraps, step and repeat banners, signage and specialty die cut applications.
“We have always seen the value in investing in new machinery and technology to satisfy the growing needs of our customers,” said Rob Adler, President of Prestone Printing. “The decision to expand our digital and large and grand format capabilities is just the latest way we try to provide our clients with everything they need under one roof.”
Reducing waste, driving down costs, increasing production speeds and maintaining superior quality were top of mind when making the decision about which new equipment to purchase. In particular, the addition of the Agfa :Anapurna M 2050 satisfied all the company’s requirements. As a top quality wide-format inkjet printer for indoor and outdoor applications, the Anapurna provides direct to substrate printing, has a white printing function and can switch between rigid and roll media instantaneously.
“It is our number one goal to make the lives of our customers’ easier,” continued Adler. “and the addition of these new machines is a prime example of how we continually improve to do that.”
