Latest FESPA Study Shows Innovation Driving Evolution in Wide-Format Digital Sector

FESPA has published its comprehensive new Print Evolution research study.

Real Life 'Evolutionaries'

The Evolution Study offers readers a range of in-depth case studies, based on interviews conducted by InfoTrends researchers with the leaders of nine print companies in Europe and North America whose evolutionary strategies have contributed to exceptional business growth.

FESPA Head of Events and New Media, Duncan MacOwan welcomed the latest Evolution survey as "a further significant contribution to the wide-format community's understanding of the new dynamics reshaping the sector. It presents welcome evidence that the majority of service providers regard exploration and innovation, in technology and business processes, as vital to their evolution. It also shows that we still have a job to do at FESPA in helping the minority who still need convincing that they must channel technology, creativity and service to meet customers' changing needs. Our commitment to that mission is never clearer than at a show such as FESPA Digital 2011, where every aspect of the event is designed to help printers plot a path for their future."

Mark Alexander, Director of Marketing at inkjet innovator Xaar, who supported the research commented: "As the FESPA Evolution Study points out, true evolution is not simply a question of capital outlay. To transform a business requires creativity, aptitude, dedication and persistence. Technology investment is undoubtedly central to these strategies, but their execution requires earnest efforts across all areas of the business to achieve success. The Study is thought-provoking and informative; we are proud to support FESPA in this initiative which we hope will inspire its global community of printers."
